home for a week. took vacation between projects. that and the unusual heavy tropical rainfalls coming daily around the same hour in this area would have been the subject of this very short post till about 10 mins ago, when i found out about cannes.

romania had 2 entries in the festival. one movie called “california dreamin” by director Cristian Nemescu won the first prize of the “un certain regard” section (details here: http://www.festival-cannes.com/index.php/en/article/55652) , and the other one, called “4 months, 3 weeks and 2 days” by Cristian Mungiu won the… Palm D’Or. the, one and only, Palm D’Or.
